Two questions tend to surface again and again from admins: who has access =
to this thing, and what happened while I wasn't watching
it. They sound simple. They are not - especially once you scale past a =
handful of users, a handful of connections, and a handful
of admins.

This month's updates lean hard into both. We've tightened up how invites =
work, filled out the audit log so API-driven changes are
properly attributed, finished off some SAML connection API gaps that have =
been bugging integrators, and made the admin UI
dramatically faster for =
tenants with a lot of users.

stuff you'll quietly thank us for at 11pm when you're trying to figure out =
who changed

Invite controls, your way
Org owners can now decide =
whether member invitations are turned on at all - and if they are, exactly =
how those invite emails get
sent. The whole invite flow is API-supported =
now, including optional email sending and filtering by revoked or accepted =
status.
And if you've set up custom SMTP, invite emails will go through it =
too - so the branded experience you've spent time building
doesn't fall over at the most important moment.

Audit log: now actually telling the truth
A couple of things were quietly =
wrong with the audit log, and we've fixed them.
First, changes made via the=
API were being attributed to "Admin." Which was technically a person, but =
rarely the person you wanted
to know about. API-driven changes now show up =
correctly as API changes.
=C2=A0
Second, some pretty important org settings=
- auto-join, custom connections - weren't being captured in the change =
audit log at
all. They are now. So when something shifts in your org =
configuration, you'll see it.

Custom SAML API: the gaps are closed
If you've been working around is_use_custom_domain, is_trusted, or =
saml_signing_private_key not being settable via the API - you
no longer need to. They all work as documented. We've also added =
saml_sign_in_url to the connections management API spec. Small,
but the kind of small that matters when you're automating SSO setup at =
scale.
Big lists, no longer big problems
If you've ever sat watching =
the users list spin while wondering whether it was you or us - it was us, =
and we've fixed it. Search
on the users list was timing out for tenants =
with millions of users. Default page loads on the users list are now around=
22x
faster. The organizations list also got a serious tune-up.

=F0=9F=9A=A7 SCIM directory sync =E2=80=94 beta sign-ups open
We're closing in on the full release of SCIM directory sync, and we'd love =
a few enterprise customers to kick the tires before it
ships. SCIM will let you automatically sync users, groups, and custom =
attributes from your identity provider - no more manual
provisioning when someone joins, leaves, or moves teams.

First-party auth for TanStack Start is now a thing, via the new @kinde/tsr =
